Delivery

Where do you deliver & what are the charges?
We offer delivery to the majority of mainland UK addresses under the following tariff
  • Orders below £200 – £4.95 charge
  • Orders above £200 – free of charge

Delivery+: We are also pleased to offer our superior Delivery+ option which gives you a two-man delivery service on large furniture items, including placing the furniture in the room of your choice and removing all packaging. There is an additional charge of just £25 for this service, covering any number of items of furniture. Please allow up to 21 days for your goods to reach you if selecting this service.

Parts of Scotland & Islands of mainland UK: Depending upon the products you order, there may be a surcharge for delivery. This is a charge which is levied on us by our couriers and is not a revenue stream for Myakka. Unfortunately due to our wide range of products, we use various different couriers to ship orders and therefore cannot specify if a surcharge will apply until we know the full details of your order. As a guide, the following UK postcodes may be subject to a surcharge: AB, DD, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KS, KW, PA, PH, ZE along with Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles, Northern Ireland (BT). Should a surcharge apply, we will contact you immediately upon receipt of your order to confirm the details. Please be assured that in the majority of cases, Myakka actually subsidises delivery and we will only levy a surcharge if it is essential.

Outside mainland UK:We are happy to ship items outside of mainland UK – please email us for a quote.
How long will it take for my goods to arrive?

It’s our aim to get your goods to you as soon as possible, but always within 7-10 working days, unless you have opted for our Delivery+ service for large furniture items, which may take up to a maximum of 21 days.

We aim to sell all items from stock, however for your convenience the availability of every item is detailed alongside the product information. In the rare event that an item is not available, we will contact you upon receipt of your order with details of an estimated delivery date.

Will I need to sign on delivery?

Yes - a signature will be required on delivery.

As standard, deliveries are carried out between Monday to Friday during working hours. If you know you will not be available to receive your order, please feel free to nominate a different delivery address or details of a neighbour who will be happy to accept the delivery on your behalf. Please note that once the goods have been dispatched from our warehouse, we can only re-route courier deliveries to an alternative delivery address upon receipt of a £6.95 charge.

How will my goods be delivered?

As standard, deliveries are carried out between Monday to Friday during working hours.Smaller furniture items, textiles and accessories will be delivered either by our courier or Royal Mail (standard post), depending on the size and weight of the items.

How will my furniture be delivered?

Unless you choose otherwise, all large furniture items will be delivered through our standard delivery service. Please be assured, we will not dispatch any furniture until we have agreed the delivery details with you. For this reason, it is important that you provide us with a daytime telephone number to contact you.

Prior to dispatch of your order, we will contact you (preferably by phone) to arrange a date for the delivery of your furniture.Should you be unavailable to take delivery on the agreed date, you will be liable for a minimum £30 charge towards the cost of either the second delivery attempt or return delivery to Myakka.

Please remember it is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture will physically fit in your home – we urge you to check the dimensions of access ways when ordering larger items of furniture.

Standard Service: Under our standard delivery service, large furniture items are delivered by pallet to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. This is a one-man delivery service and for health & safety reasons, the driver:

  • can only move the pallet using the pump truck
  • cannot assist you in removing your furniture from the pallet
  • cannot assist you in manoeuvring the furniture into your home
  • will not be able to remove the packaging from your property

Should you require assistance to manoeuvre the furniture into your home, we would recommend our Delivery+ service.

Delivery+ Service: For a flat rate of £25 per order you can enjoy the following enhanced services:

  • Delivery on a pre-arranged date & time window with the option of telephone advice from the delivery van an hour prior to arrival at your property.
  • Two-man delivery service, carrying each item into the room & position of your choice.
  • Each item is unpacked and all packaging materials removed from your home.
  • Pay just one fee of £25 regardless of the number of items within your order.
  • Due to the nature of our Delivery+ service, delivery of your products may take slightly longer than our regular delivery service. Please allow a maximum of up to 21 days from the date placing your order for delivery.

To take advantage of this great service, simply look out for the Delivery+ sign next to large items of furniture and add the service to your basket at the check out.
