A beautiful kilim rug, hand loomed in India using local techniques. Consisting of 70% jute and 30% wool, these fair trade rugs are incredibly hard-wearing and will set off any room with their patterns in traditional colours.

- Very pleased - colours just right for a darkish hard floor, good quality and lays flat, nice smell as well. My cat loves it and stands up to some robust claw testing. Absolute must, though, is a complete non slip underlay but its worth the extra cost of this.

- I bought two kilim rugs at the same time because they were in the sale - this one and the natural kilim rug. I chose the dark kilim rug to put in my hallway because the colour is right and am keeping the natural one in reserve. However, because the label states that the dyes may mark lighter coloured materials, I sewed a linen backing to the rug because it is on a lighter coloured carpet.
