This delightful elephant blanket box is our own exclusive design, crafted in unique Myakka style from solid Sheesham hardwood. The four elephants are hand carved so deftly, it's mesmerising to watch our Indian artisans at work, creating the three-dimensional effect that sets these pieces apart. Mounted on neat bun feet, this endlessly useful chest has a traditional metal latch and a hinged lid with a retaining chain for easy access to everything from bedding to books, train sets to teddies.

100% Sheesham wood (Indian Rosewood) - fair trade furniture imported directly from Northern India.

Care details: As this Hathi Blanket Box is hand waxed, we would strongly recommend the use of coasters and mats to protect the wood from marks caused by hot or wet items.

- Completely satisfied customer. Beautiful box - looks amazing on my top landing - will definately buy from Myakka again. The Customer service was unbeatable - there was a bit of trouble with the delivery company as they said it had been delivered when it had not - I got straight onto Myakka and problem was solved immediately. Other firms could learn a lot re customer service from this company. Thank you.

- amazing value for money. I had not realised this would be a light coloured wood that had been stained this lovely colour. Yes there are a few scratches under the stain and one area on the top where wood filler of a slightly different colour has been used but this was a fraction of the price of many solid wood storage trunks I have seen and I feel excellent value and a charming piece of furniture. The sales team were most helpful arranging to measure it as I had a tight fit where i wanted it and they selected one for me as they are hand made there are tiny variations in size.
