Christmas Delivery Dates

The festive season is fast approaching! Now is a great time to start preparing; whether it’s getting your place ship-shape for celebrations with family and friends, or ticking presents off your shopping list. The good news is that it’s really easy when you shop with Myakka - simply order online at your leisure or give our friendly customer service team a call on 0345 460 3122 to place your order by phone. Then just sit back, relax and wait for your delivery to arrive.

Our website shows current stock availability alongside every product. For all items that we have in stock, we can guarantee pre-Christmas delivery if you order in advance of our cut-off dates shown below:

Delivery+ Service – order by midday Thursday 15th December
Larger furniture items displaying the £15, £25 or £40 lorry symbol will take a little longer; order no later than midday on Thursday 15th December for delivery before Christmas (Midday Friday 2nd December for Northern Ireland, Highlands, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Eire). It’s a first-class two-man service where the furniture is placed in the room of your choice and the packaging is taken away by the crew to be recycled. Please note, as we move closer to Christmas, due to the volume of orders, we can only guarantee pre-Christmas delivery should you choose to accept the first delivery slot offered.

Standard Delivery – order by midday Wednesday 21st December
All of our in stock gifts, accessories and smaller items of furniture will reach you in time for Christmas if ordered no later than midday Wednesday 21st December (Midday Monday 19th December for Northern Ireland, Highlands, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Eire). Any item that does not incur an additional delivery charge above £4.95 is included in our standard delivery.

Click & Collect – order by midday Friday 23rd December
Our Wincanton Warehouse Outlet will be open Christmas Eve so there is still time up until midday on Friday 23rd December to click & collect and shop for those last minute furniture & gifts. Please note the Warehouse Outlet will be closing at 3pm on Saturday 24th December.

Regardless of the number of items you request, you only pay one fair delivery charge per order. Standard delivery is £4.95, larger pieces displaying a lorry symbol are priced in the grid. Delivery+ denotes a pre-booked delivery, usually within 14 days, with your items being carried into the room of your choice and all packaging removed. UK Highland and Island deliveries or outlying areas are calculated by postcode as shown.

How long will it take for my goods to arrive?

It's our aim to get your goods to you as soon as possible. For smaller items such as soft furnishings or accessories, we aim to deliver within 7 days. For furniture requiring our Delivery+ service, we aim to deliver within 14 days. If you need an item for a specific deadline, please let us know and we will do our best to meet your schedule.

We aim to sell all items from stock, however for your convenience the availability of every item is detailed alongside the product information. If an item you order is not immediately available, we will contact you upon receipt of your order with details of an estimated delivery date.

Will I need to sign on delivery?Deliveries normally happen Monday to Friday during working hours and we do need a signature. If you know you won't be in, just give us a different delivery address – perhaps a neighbour who wouldn't mind taking delivery and signing for you. Once your order has left us, re-routing to a different address is only possible to a point and we may have to charge you extra. Let us know as soon as you can and we'll see what we can do.

How will my goods be delivered?Smaller items such as soft furnishings and accessories are delivered either by our special courier or Royal Mail, depending on the size and weight of your order. We’ll get on and dispatch it just as soon as possible and ordinarily you will have your goods within 7 days. We won't ring you unless there's a technical glitch.

For all furniture, we'll ring you to talk through the delivery details before we despatch your items from our warehouse. We'd never leave your beautiful furniture sitting on doorsteps. That's why we need your daytime phone number to give you a call.

For smaller furniture items covered by our Standard service , we aim to deliver to your door within 7 days.
For large and extra-large items requiring our Delivery+ service , we aim to deliver into your home within 14 days.

Delivery+ = Fast & friendly UK-wide delivery
We offer an upgraded Delivery+ service for our larger furniture items, as indicated by the icons on the product page.

  • >Two-man service to carry each item into the room & position of your choice.
  • >Everything is unpacked and all packaging materials taken away.
  • >Simple assembly of dining tables will be done for you.
  • >Just one charge regardless of the number of items within your order.

We have to leave it with you to make sure your furniture will physically fit in your home and through narrow hallways or doors. We do have to charge for orders that can't be delivered so please check the dimensions carefully and if you're not sure, call us. Also, unless you provide a minimum of 48 hours notice should you not be able to take delivery on the agreed date and time, we charge £60 minimum towards the cost of either the second delivery attempt or return delivery to Myakka.

Click & Collect... Can I collect my order in person?Should you wish, we would be happy for you to collect your order from our warehouse in Somerset. Simply select this option at the online checkout and the delivery charge will be removed from your basket. Based on the items being in stock, we’ll prepare your order so it’s ready to collect within 2 working days. As our warehouse team are always pretty busy, we’ll also contact you in advance to pre-arrange a convenient collection time – it’s important that we’re available to help load your vehicle.

Our warehouse is just a stone’s throw from the main A303 trunk road. For reference, the address is Myakka Ltd, Tythings Commercial Centre, Wincanton, Somerset BA9 9EQ.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer a Click & Collect service from our Guildford showroom.

What is your returns policy?We hope that your order will be just what you wanted, but in case it isn't, we are happy to offer you a 30 day money-back guarantee on all goods. The goods must be returned to us, please call 0345 460 3122 (local call rate) in the first instance to arrange the courier collection. You may return any unused goods with their original packaging within 30 days of the date of dispatch. Please note that it is your responsibility to take care of the products and ensure they are returned to us safely & in a saleable condition.

How do I return an item?The most cost-effective way to return goods is often to use our couriers and therefore we would ask you to simply contact us by email sales@myakka.co.uk or telephone 0345 460 3122 (local rate call) and we will issue a returns code and clarify the details of the return method.

Will there be a Returns collection charge?If the return is required as a result of our error there is no collection charge. In other circumstances, you will be required to cover the cost of returns carriage. This will be the same as the cost of delivery for the individual item(s) as detailed in the grid above. Please contact us to arrange collection.
