    Where do you deliver & what are the charges?

    RAPID, UK-WIDE DELIVERY

    Our standard delivery charge is £4.95 per order. For bulky or heavy furniture items, there is a charge of either £10 or £30 for our Delivery+ service – please note, the charge is per order, regardless of the number of items. This service includes pre-booked delivery, usually within 10 days, with the furniture being carried into your chosen room and all packaging removed. Look out for the following details on the product pages which indicate if Delivery+ charges apply - your basket will automatically reflect the charges.

    Parts of Scotland & Islands of mainland UK: Depending upon the products you order, there may be a surcharge for delivery. This is a charge which is levied on us by our couriers and is not a revenue stream for Myakka. Unfortunately due to our wide range of products, we use various different couriers to ship orders and therefore cannot specify if a surcharge will apply until we know the full details of your order. As a guide, the following UK postcodes may be subject to a surcharge: AB, DD, GY, HS, IM, IV, JE, KS, KW, PA, PH, ZE along with Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles, Northern Ireland (BT). Should a surcharge apply, we will contact you immediately upon receipt of your order to confirm the details. Please be assured that in the majority of cases, Myakka subsidises delivery and we will only levy a surcharge if it is essential.

    Outside mainland UK : We are happy to ship items outside of mainland UK – please email us for a quote.

    How long will it take for my goods to arrive?

    It’s our aim to get your goods to you as soon as possible, but always within 7-10 working days. If you need an item for a specific deadline, please let us know and we will do our best to meet your schedule.

    We aim to sell all items from stock, however for your convenience the availability of every item is detailed alongside the product information. In the rare event that an item is not in stock, we will contact you upon receipt of your order with details of an estimated delivery date.

    Will I need to sign on delivery?

    Yes - a signature will be required on delivery.

    As standard, deliveries are carried out between Monday to Friday during working hours. If you know you will not be available to receive your order, please feel free to nominate a different delivery address or details of a neighbour who will be happy to accept the delivery on your behalf. Please note that once the goods have been dispatched from our warehouse, there will be a charge to re-route the delivery to an alternative address.

    How will my goods be delivered?

    As standard, deliveries are carried out between Monday to Friday during working hours. Smaller furniture items, soft furnishings and accessories will be delivered either by our courier or Royal Mail, depending on the size and weight of the items.

    How will my furniture be delivered?

    We offer an upgraded Delivery+ service for the majority of our furniture items, as indicated by the & on the product page.

    Delivery+ = Rapid, UK-wide delivery

    • Delivery on a pre-booked date & time window, usually within 10 days.
    • Two-man delivery service, carrying each item into the room & position of your choice.
    • Each item is unpacked and all packaging materials removed from your home.
    • Simple assembly of dining tables will be completed for you.
    • Just one charge regardless of the number of items within your order.

    Deliveries are carried out between Monday to Friday during working hours. Please be assured, we will not dispatch any furniture until we have agreed the delivery details with you. For this reason, it is important that you provide us with a daytime telephone number to contact you.

    Please remember it is your responsibility to ensure that the furniture will physically fit in your home – we urge you to check the dimensions of access ways when ordering larger items of furniture. Should you be unavailable to take delivery on the agreed date, you will be liable for a £50 minimum charge towards the cost of either the second delivery attempt or return delivery to Myakka.

    What is your returns policy?

    We hope that your order will be just what you wanted, but in case it isn’t, we are happy to offer you a 14 day money-back guarantee on all goods.
    You may return any unused goods in their original packaging within 14 days of the date of dispatch. Please note that it is your responsibility to take care of the products and ensure they are returned to us safely & in a saleable condition. We will refund the cost of the product to you upon receipt of the returned items. We cannot always refund postage & packaging costs - please see details below.
    Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery if your order is damaged or there are any discrepancies. You can contact us by email or telephone 0845 460 3122

    How do I return an item?

    The most cost-effective way to return goods is often using our couriers and therefore we would ask you to simply contact us by email or telephone 0845 460 3122 and we will issue a returns code and clarify the details of the return method.

    Will the delivery charge be refunded?

    We regret that postage & packaging are direct costs and cannot be refunded in all circumstances. If the return is required as a result of our error, we will happily refund both the outbound & the return postage charges.
    In all other circumstances, the cost of return postage and the original postage charge are both non-refundable. For large furniture items, a standard £60 charge will be levied towards the cost of the return carriage (even in the case of the original delivery being free of charge).

    What are my payment options?

    We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Visa Electron, Delta and Solo through the secure online payment facility on this website. You can also use the secure GoogleCheckout facility to make an online payment – see below for details of this.

    Alternatively, you can speak to us in person and place your order by phone on 0845 460 3122 (9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday) and (10.00am – 5.00 pm Saturday).

    Should you prefer to pay by cheque, you can place your order by phone, and send your payment to the following address:

    Cheques should be made payable to ‘Myakka Ltd’ – please do not forget to include the delivery charge in the total. If paying by cheque, please note that we cannot reserve the stock for you until we actually receive the payment – you may wish to consider this when ordering any special offer or end of line stock. Your order will then be dispatched once the cheque has cleared.

    When do you charge my credit/debit card?

    In the majority of cases your goods will be dispatched within a few days of receipt of your order and due to this your card will be charged at the time of placing your order.

    In the case that the stock is not immediately available, your card will still be charged at the time of placing the order. This enables us to reserve the items you have requested from the next available delivery. Should this cause a problem for you, please feel free to contact us by email or phone (0845 460 3122 ) and we will be happy to discuss your specific requirements.

    What is GoogleCheckout?

    In early 2007, Google launched a new service allowing customers to set up Checkout accounts.You can open an account at anytime and simply enter your personal details and payment information.When shopping with Myakka (or any other site affiliated with GoogleCheckout) you can then click on the GoogleCheckout button in the Myakka checkout process to sign into your GoogleCheckout account and pay through Google. This way, you have the convenience and speed of just entering your personal information once. Please note, the charge to your card is processed by Google not Myakka and we do not at any point have access to your card details – Google settle the account with us independently.
